Giving Back – Volunteering With Second Harvest Heartland

Last week Brownson PLLC teamed up with Second Harvest Heartland in Brooklyn Park to package produce for distribution to local food shelves, pantries, and other meal programs in the area. Second Harvest Heartland is one of the nation’s largest and most effective hunger relief organizations with food banks and farming partnerships across the Midwest. To complete their mission, Second Harvest relies mostly on volunteers to package produce received from local farmers for distribution. In just over two hours, the Brownson PLLC team and other volunteers packaged over 3,914 pounds of onions and 860 pounds of potatoes! Enough for 3,978 meals for people in need!
