Operation Backpack is the Minnesota and Wisconsin Volunteers of America’s annual drive to collect new backpacks filled with school supplies for children from low-income families in the community. Operation Backpack benefits at-risk students including foster children, inner-city students, special needs youth, and those with mental health issues. With the help of the Capella Tower tenants, the fundraiser allows them to start the school year off right—well-equipped and ready to learn. Brownson • Norby, PLLC is in its seventh year donating backpacks to the fundraiser. Provided with a school supply list, this year the firm shopped for supplies for two fourth or fifth grade students for their upcoming school year.
